Spring 2015 Fashion Trends

As the days get longer and the nights warmer, we soar in the blissful realization that our favorite time of year is dawning upon us – spring! Tantamount with endless possibilities to get creative with the latest fashion trends, spring is all about indulging your fashion inspirations! So ladies, it’s time to put your bulky coats and heavy jumpers in storage because this season’s trends are hotter than ever! Spring/Summer 2015 runways featured old favorites, unexpected new trends and fresh takes on much-loved classics. Denim was given a refresher this season and kept popping up on runways in new creative silhouettes and styles; from Dolce & Gabbana’s over-the-top embellished jeans to jumpsuits at Chloé, one thing is for sure, you can’t go wrong with denim this season! After first hitting runways over 40 years ago and establishing itself as a fashion classic, khaki is back with a vengeance so whether it’s the military, safari or utilitarian style that tickles your fancy, add a little khaki to your wardrobe to be totally on trend.

Countless designers sought inspiration from the Orient in their spring 2015 collections showcasing kimono-style coats, tops and obi belts, which proved to be the must-have accessory for spring 2015! The ever-so romantic and super comfy bohemian chic trend is still going strong and while you may think florals for spring seem utterly unimaginative, designers got creative this season offering a fresh take on the classic print from modern watercolor florals at Chanel to psychedelic flower power at House of Holland. Forget last season’s plaid; this spring designers have downsized to gingham prints. From Oscar de la Renta’s cropped tops and pencil skirts to Altuzarra’s ultra-feminine dresses, it’s time to get your gingham on! Finally, suede (not the first fabric that comes to mind for the warmer months!) unexpectedly made its way down several runways including that of Derek Lam, Jason Wu and Gucci; whether in pastel colors or 70s-inspired, suede is definitely making a comeback! Read on to see all the latest trends hot off the Spring/Summer 2015 runways and get inspired!
