Lebanon Needs Your Help
August 26, 2020
The massive explosion that rocked Beirut on August 4th is the third most powerful explosion in the world after Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The devastating effects have brought the city to its knees. The death toll is now 240 victims, with over 7,000 injured and hundreds still missing. Beirut’s hospitals are at capacity and cannot accept any more injured people while doctors were seen working with flashlights as electricity and electric generators were gone. The explosion left over 300,000 people homeless. Entire buildings collapsed. Cars are burned.
This comes at a time when the country was already suffering from an economic recession, currency devaluation, the COVID-19 pandemic, and supply shortages.
We created a fundraiser to support a number of charities that are active in various sectors such as food, shelter and healthcare...100% of the funds collected will be directed in full transparency to NGOs that are active on the ground in Beirut and are assisting with humanitarian relief in various sectors such as food, shelter, and healthcare/medications.
Your donations, no matter how small, will help the people most affected by this tragedy. Please donate, spread the word, and help in any way you can.
Transparency is extremely important to us. For this reason, updates will be posted on the gofundme page and proof of receipt will be shared once transfers are complete.
Your donations are fully tax-deductible.
Thank you for your support!
