Backstage at the Dolce&Gabbana : Milan Fashion Week

For the Dolce&Gabbana Fall/Winter 2017 Ready to Wear show in Milan, which was inspired by an urban interpretation of Rinascimento, the designers complemented their vision by a make up look highlighting a perfect skin with a glowing finish, iconic feline eyes and beautiful lips. Nails in nudes and reds completed the look.

A flawless complexion was achieved starting with The Primer, followed by the Perfect Luminous Liquid Foundation blended outward, from the centre of the face out towards the ears. The Perfect Luminous Concealer was applied to the shadowed areas and dabbed under the eyes creating an impeccable base with an even skin tone. The cheeks displayed a natural flush by being delicately swept with the Creamy Blush in different shades onto the apples of the cheeks and up towards the ears. The face was softly contoured with the Creamy Bronzer in Rosa del Deserto 50 and highlighted using the Creamy Illuminator in Rosa del Mattino 60 along the cheekbones and on the bridge of the nose. The skin was finally set with a light dusting of the Perfection Veil Pressed Powder across the nose and forehead.

For the feline eye look, the Perfect Mono Eyeshadow in Innocence 10, was blended across the eyelids, applying shades of nude and brown from The Eyeshadow Quad in Smoky 105 with a blending blush along the crease of the eyelids to create depth. For added definition, The Eyeliner in Nude 9 to the inner rim of the eyes.
The upper lash line was amplified by applying The Eyeliner in Chocolate 10, and a line of Glam Liner in Black Intense 1 was drawn along the upper lash line, to add an intense feline finish. On the curled top lashes, layers of Passioneyes Mascara in Nero 1 were applied paying special attention to the outer corners for definition and volumizing finish. The brows were sculpted with The Brow Liner using the wide part of the pencil nib with light, feathery strokes to fill the color outwards to the end of the brow, achieving a natural definition to the eyes.

A color explosion complemented the lips: from bold reds, statement burgundy, vivid pinks, to delicate nudes in matte and creamy textures, achieved with Dolce Matte or Classic Cream lipsticks. To give lips definition, the lips were lined with matching shades of The Lipliner.
